Where’s the one-stop-shop-magic-music-box?

Where is that one-stop-shop where option 1 is the Beatles; Option 2, Metallica.; Option 3, Journey; and so on and so on? Some company has to have made this box by now (it’s almost 2025!) and I can’t be the only one who wants it. For now, I’d rather spend my time playing along with the music and not spending that time trying to get the right tone. For myself and the rest of us who don’t want to spend the time and don’t really understand what all the knobs do, I’d appreciate a point in the right direction for that one-stop-shop!

I think this is what @John_E uses to get all his Beatles and Journey tones.

I may be misremembering though?

the tonebridge app tries to do something like this for guitar not sure it works for bass…I have seen it as part of UG (Ultimate Guitar) but never tried to use it

Haha. No. lol

There is no one stop shop stomp box for the OP’s question. A plugin pack would be for a DAW though. Although, no idea what a Journey bass tone even is.

I didn’t test it, but reviews say the tone suck is high.

That said the knobs on that pedal adjust all the way down and it’s actually a nice gentle drive with sweepable mids if you want it to be, so I think you could get Beatles to journey to Metallica on guitar with it, no cap.

It’s still available. I left my GC rep a message last week when I saw the post. He called me back today and put 2 on order for me so they are available.

Well a generic band bass tone would probably be too general since each song is likely a bit different. But let’s say you wanted to play Don’t Stop Believin’. A plug-in where all you had to do was select Option X that already had bass, treble, distortion, whatever, preprogrammed would make it easy.

Line6 HX Stomp seems to be trying to do this. It has preprogrammed settings plus the ability to create your own. You might be able to download more. This seems to be trying to do what I’m talking about. Are there any other options out there that anyone has used?

80% of recorded bass tones is DI + some form of Ampeg (B15 or SVT variants), rest 20% is G&K or some oddball amps.

Exactly I can give @Mike_NL a BassBuzz deal of $550 but he’s responsible for the import duty.

I know, I know…
