I found this a while ago and fell in love with those Alessandra Scaravilli’s bass faces. The tune is a good ride on bass and I’ve miles to go to be as good and in the groove as she is.
Adding Sarah Quintero to the list, I think she may be my new favorite overall bassist, just an absolutely massive tone that is incredible for the type of metal she and her husband play.
This rules.
With a pick, looks to me!
That is fine, fine use of Drop D.
That bass sounds like underwater elephant farts…I’m still not sure if that’s good or bad.
Well thats certainly one way to describe it lol
It sounds like modern metal to me
Actually the bass distortion sounds like wet farts over my pc speakers too until I plugged in my headphone. Big difference in sound lol. Bass sounds killer tbh
This happens a LOT on inferior speakers (maybe its the mix?), even on some of my covers.
That was through my monitors.
Well, in your case it’s a matter of taste @Noisembryo ![]()
According to Google all audio on YouTube is compressed (approximately to around 126 kbps AAC). After the mix it could even sound better on my crappy pc speakers than on good monitors.
Kiyoshi is totally the master of bass face, even when she isn’t actually playing.
That’s about two years old. Her sixth album just came out and has some English songs on it, for those that have put her off due to language.
Been a fan of Mina for years. Gives people like me with small hands hope as hers are tiny.
Wish she was back in a band.
If Kiss had a bass line:
