MINA is amazingly skilled and her videos were definitely an inspiration for me to pick up a bass.

Very nice!
Listening to the new album by The Warning (Three sisters from Mexico who are awesome). Alejandra Villarreal on bass. Thinking they went from this:
To this in 7 years.
They rule. It’s been fun to see them evolve.
Ale just had her 18 birthday over the weekend. Makes me feel old
We are old. However, as Uncle Monty says in Withnail and I
“There can be no true beauty without decay”
I`m making time!
Being obsessed with Lizzo this week I started looking into her bassist, Zuri Appleby.
I have been watching her slap.
She makes it seem like she is barely moving and plays so damn clean.
Turns out she served as a Marine and was scouted for the USMC band.
She’s been touring/playing with Lizzo now for about 2 years.

holy crap, she gives lessons for…get this…$65/hour.
at least around here, that is a bargain with a dope, let alone Lizzo’s bassist
Catharine Popper
Played with Grace Potter, jack White, Ryan Adams and Norah Jones.
Oh, Acoustic bass, Great demo!
Also, great music!
Back in high school I was a HUGE Sparks fan…loved their quirky tunes and it was fun to watch Ron and it was fun to watch Ron and Russell perform
My favorite song (and album) of theirs
All of this makes me think of high school
“Sometimes a dog gets grabbed”
Best scene ever in Valley Girl
