I didn’t realise that Jen Majura had left Evanesence; that didn’t last long.
That’s great for Emma though.
Must check dates for that Muse & Evanesence tour.

I love playing Patricia Morrison basslines because they are simple, fun and brutally effective.
Eldritch wrote most of hers for Sisters of Mercy but hers from Gun Club were great too. The main riff for this one is a lot of fun:
Oh that was so much fun.
I just finished reading Paint My Name In Black and Gold and Morrison is hardly mentioned.
Awesome sounding book.
Bummer, but I believe it. It sounds like that book is more about the First and Last and Always era, before she joined.
Eldritch also has always downplayed her role, which seems like an odd thing to do, but hey, he’s Eldritch.
It was very interesting! I don’t regret reading it. It just occurred to me when Morrison appeared in this thread that she’s basically a footnote in the book. The author puts interviews with former band members, friends, and Leeds locals/fans front & centre, which is great, but for the most part everybody wants to talk about how Eldritch took advantage of them or screwed them over or pissed them off, etc., etc. Fair enough.
Yeah I’m sure that came up a lot ![]()
On the plus side (I guess), he does at least acknowledge that he can be an asshole. On the down side, he is.
[sad trombone sound]
Whoa, I haven’t heard The Slits in a long time. It cracks me up that Budgie drummed for them a bit. I think that’s him in the video, looking very different
Blast from the past, thanks.
awesome
Kira Roessler from Black Flag, Sean Yseult from White Zombie and of course Kim Valentine (I didn’t see mentioned but probably was).

She rules. Leather Tuscadero!
andrew is one of the all time biggest a-holes in music, and i say this as a huge sisters fan. she has always denied this.
Yeah and I am inclined to believe her based on her previous work. If you listen to the basslines on Floodlands, they have all the hallmarks of her stuff from Gun Club - simple, driving and very very effective.
@Barney posted this in the Fun thread, and I’m re-posting here, because NIK WEST! Happy Friday
