Of course you didn’t, you meant 10,000 suns!
What this does is make me hate my dad even more.
He was a real jerk, but, if he at least had all this musical talent and gear, I could have delt with it.
Yeah, I mean, a lot of us '80s kids didn’t exactly have parenting per se, as our boomer parents were going wild blowing our “college savings” on booze and drugs
I’ve always like Paz Lenchantin from A Perfect Circle, and currently in Pixies. A newer female bassist I dig a lot is Alejandra Villarreal from The Warning, a three piece band of all sisters. They can rock it!!
a few months ago i put up a vid from the warning not really even knowing who they were. i know who they are now, becoming a big fan. and as good as ale is, pau is my new favorite musician on earth. so much fun to watch her play.
Tokyo Jyoshi have indeed popped up a few times on these pages. But that particular clip is Juna Serita on bass. She has left now to do her own thing (though sometimes still joins in on their sessions) and Rina Hoshino came in to take her place. Both excellent bassists.
This one has both of them on it:
I love this one particularly as you don’t often get to see two bassist playing to together in a band! But think they all play such excellent funk jazz. Wish they had more material out there!
