Yeah, the YouTube sync is why I keep coming back to Songsterr. GP is great, but I don’t write tabs/create music. I just play along with songs, so only having the synth doesn’t really work for me.
I figure I’ll keep GP - I’ve had it for a year or so, installed and unused - for if ever I outgrow Songsterr.
It is surprisingly good but the AI just glazed over a few sections a put the generic root notes on those. I’ll post mine later but there’s no way I could do it in just a few hours. It took several hours for my transcription and notations and a week to input that on GP8 and this song doesn’t even have a crazy ghost notes, .
Thanks man. Like I said on the PM, it’s surprisingly good and very interesting choice of where it plays. It may be off-ish but I can easily complete the rest.
I thought you knew that I have RockSmith in my Xbox. I spent crap ton of dough buying song packs. They are original music too. They just don’t have the songs I want.
Do you have Rockmith 2014 for Mac?
Even better (I always say that): ToneLib Jam. It can read all Rocksmith PC/Mac files and you can convert everything to GP, if you don’t like their interface.
Can you do us a favor and make this thing 50 times bigger so we feel like this is a real tourist attraction…of course the boy is pissing he’s 10cm tall and can’t hold down a single Duvel.
Otherwise I love Belgium! We have a sister office there and I’ve enjoyed many a frite and bier there……mayo and all.
Regarding Songsster: It’s hit or miss it seems, the YouTube sync is awesome though. There are some songs though with a “this doesn’t seem close to right” sound to them.
I love frites. When I lived in SF I used to be spoiled by a Belgian beer bar w/frites just down the street. Tripels and frites in stumble-home range, deadly combo
Manneken Pis is indeed very tiny, most people think it’s taller.
According the beer I suggest WESTVLETEREN and ROCHEFORT
Frites=>don’t forget the STOOFVLEES (beef stew made with beer)
Coming in late to the conversation, but I just started using Songsterr a few months ago. I love the link to YouTube vids, but on several occasions I’ve found that the tabs aren’t exact to the song/tune. I’m not really bothered by that as I’m not trying to play exactly as the recording. But if I’m struggling to pick something up by ear, and I need to get a bit of a “hint,” Songsterr is definitely my huckleberry.
