I can’t even imagine the neck dive. Makes my fretting arm bicep hurt!
Yep. Plays bass in Dogstar.
He’s usually busy making movies, or some such, but he’s back with Dogstar for a bit.
What’s age got to do with it?
Apparently, if you’re an 80 year-old Tom Jones, it don’t mean a damn thing.
Gotta love Tom Jones. He is a whole new level of cool.
Here are a couple more fun videos with him.
Saw Tom Jones a few years ago in Vegas. He can still belt them.
and yes, panties were thrown on the stage
an no, they were not mine
What’s the matter, Bob? You didn’t enjoy the show?
Well, I was commando. Damn hot in Vegas.
Good weapon of choice!
You just know that Johnny Silverhands rocks a P-bass.
That reminds me that I still have to finish the Cyberpunk corpo storyline. Right now I am so hooked on Jedi Survivor…
Survivor is great. I’m right at the last boss fight (I think). Great story this time.
Apparently, once Tom hit the stage, you weren’t the only one.
You might say he kills it.
i hate the dead
but…
they did power all those speakers with mcintosh amps, which are audiofool approved, mega expensive, and… pretty damn cool. mcintosh amps also powered woodstock, seventeen MC 3500 McIntosh amplifiers. The system was about 10,000 watts RMS into 8 ohms.
btw, speaking of the dead and woodstock, where do you hide a dollar from a hippy? under the soap.
I love the Dead. I saw them live with their wall of sound a ton of times.
Their McIntosh amps were both the massive power AND the headroom that produced untold volume that was completely clean. You could FEEL the music in your bones, but there were no ringing ears after the show. Those shows were phenomenal for so many reasons.
I get that some people don’t like the Dead. That’s cool. The sun still rises and the Dead still lives in the hearts, minds and speakers of folks worldwide.
