It’s not about the message. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. But you don’t have to act like a raving lunatic to express yourself. That’s a Karen to me.

I believe the moniker arose from a video that went viral with a woman named Karen something or other who called the police because there was a black man in the park that she thought should be only for entitled white folks such as herself. She was seen on the video screaming hysterically at the police when they refused to do anything about it. That’s my vague recollection of it. I wish I could remember the name of the video.
Ever since then, anyone who screams and complains hysterically about something is called a Karen.
True story: a close (former) friend of mine unfriended me because of my use of Karen memes.
P.S. My homeowners association is staffed by a passel of Karens.

That Karen became upset because a black man asked her to put her dog on a leash while she was in the park. She was having none of it.

They breed Karens here on purpose.
