A stupid question

Here is a stupid question, can the Epiphone thunderbird vintage pro, fit in the Epiphone toby bass bag? sorry for wasting your time.

I have no clue but I wanted to put it out there that wasting time is a speciality around here. God forbid this topic go off topic and we get into a discussion about tonewood or something.

What species of tree is “tonewood”?

Well, I really don’t know… Their design seems to be quite different. The gig bag surely gives the impression that there might be room to fit it, but the Thunderbird seems like a very special beast

It might be safest to look for a dedicated gig bag, e.g. by RockBag, Canto…

It’s not a stupid question, Thunderbird is one of the longest 4 string bass design, the overall length is almost 48". Most gig bag length is 47.5" internal.

On top of everything else Toby is one of the Shorter bass design where the bridge is pretty much at the end of the body, if a gig bag is specifically made for Toby, it would not fit the T-Bird bass.

You can try but it will be pushing a bit and you don’t want to stretch it to the max as your protection will be diminished.

So, the other day this guy offered to sell me tonewood tree seeds. I’ve never seen real tonewood tree seeds - much less a real tonewood tree - so I bought them. I think they were a steal… I mean, I could have bought a custom Fodera or something with what I paid for them, but c’mon, I’m going to have an authentic tonewood tree growing in my front yard. I can’t wait, I’ll be the envy of luthiers everywhere.

True that, but be on the lookout for giants at the top.

I am so, so glad that someone recognized the Jack and the Beanstalk influence there.

I rather talk about pizza toppings mainly pineapple and tofu, :joy:

yes

no, and no mochi either. This is where I draw the line with pizzas here. Otherwise it’s a slippery slope to things like the Pizza-la mochi, mentaiko, corn and potato pizza.

Oh stop! you had me at Mentaiko, :joy:

Usually have them on pasta but never with pizza.

I worked for Wolfgang Puck, I had my fair share of “interesting” pizza toppings.

Pizza here in France is pizza napoletana. No thick crust. No pan pizza. Not pre-cut into pieces. Not shared (typically). Eaten with a knife and fork. My favorite from the Italian restaurant around the corner is the Intervista: super thinly sliced eggplant, sliced marinated red peppers, lots of garlic, tomato sauce, cheese and grated Parmigiano Reggiano. That’s a pizza!

A long time ago, I ate at W.P.'s restaurant in Malibu, around the corner from Schwarzenegger’s restaurant. I agree. “Interesting” ingredients.

There is a dedicated thread for all this pizza-ness.

Read, partake, enjoy.

That said, I vote no fucking pineapple or tofu. And I like them both, separately and together.

Just keep them off any pizza I’m supposed to eat. :joy:

Oh yeah, here’s the pizza link to the legendary thread of B2B history:
