Acoustic Bass Dilemma

I have an inexpensive acoustic / electric bass that I thought I’d enjoy, but I don’t. I can’t stand playing it for more than a couple minutes. I hate the feel of those acoustic strings (they feel like corduroy), and I have to wear a glove when I play it. The thing is huge! Nothing about the tone excites me. Hey y’all! I was thinking about getting an acoustic bass but I’m unsure about whether it’ll be worth it to get one. When would I ever use it? For what genre? I heard that pulling out an acoustic bass at a campfire is a pretty big buzzkill so that’s also in mind. Any comments would be really helpful!

Advice for an acoustic bass please

I’m halfway through B2B, having never played bass before. I am using a Fender Squier but there’s a chance that, in a few months, I will be joining a social group for acoustic guitar players of any skill level. They don’t have anyone playing bass. Does anyone use an acoustic bass for practicing?

I am thinking of getting an acoustic bass mainly for practicing and maybe an acoustic jam night that happens in a local pub. For reasons I can’t go into at the moment I can only play the bass at work. That is where my amp is and lugging everything home and back every day would not work. I am thinking of getting a cheapo acoustic that I can leave in the car and play anywhere I am thinking of something like this Dose anyone have any experience of this bass? Ca you alter the action etc
