Today I sold my Hofner Club, and told Sara I need to buy a shipping box so I can ship it to the buyer. She agreed. So, I ordered one on Reverb that just happens to contain a Yamaha BB735A just like Rosie.
Sara will forgive me.
Its not exactly the same one on which I went through the B2B course, but it will certainly do. I still have the custom pick guard Sara made for it, so It’ll come damn close!
P.S. I paid way less than the asking price for it.
I had a bass listed on Reverb for a week and had a guy offer me $100 less than what I was asking. Usually I would have taken the deal, but I responded that it was now unavailable, apologized, and removed the listing. I shouldn’t have started playing it again after I listed
Hah, I love it. “Shipping Box - $650, includes free bass.”
Congrats Pam. Sucks that you couldn’t get Rosie back - trust me, I know those feels (my $2000 Carvin B4 with its bent neck can attest to that) - but I’m sure Rosie2 will be awesome for you.
Yeah, I was also a bit sad when @howard sold his BB734. However, I can understand why given his reasons, particularly the fact that it was brown burst. It’s a shame the BB734/735 only comes in two colors, unlike many of the other basses in the BB series (I do love my transparent black though).
As to the weight, I don’t really find the BB735 to be noticeably heavier than any of the other basses I’ve owned. In fact, it’s actually lighter than the Stingray 5 that I currently own.
I sold a Mark Hoppus Precision Bass that was a jazz body with p bass pups. I believe it also had a p bass neck. I love the white blonde color and the tone was awesome (at least to me). I’ve tried to find a used version but they all seem thrashed and way to over priced on reverb.
Just had a conversation with a guy who tried to make a trade with my American performer Mustang with his Ltd ESP D5. He was actually tried to trade with most of my other basses that he saw in the picture like the MusicMan Cutlass, the fender American elite with Status carbon neck. I asked how much cash he’d put on top, he said straight up hopefully but it depends. Based on the fact that he once had a guy said that he’ll trade his American professional ii p bass with his Ltd with $170 on top. That guy never showed, lol.
I don’t mind answering questions and being polite but man! He has good eyes too all of the basses he asked are rare and premium.
If I’d made a trade with this guy, I’d be relieving this night for the rest of my live, same for him too, lol.
