It’s got a 1 year warranty, so shouldn’t be a problem. What I don’t like is NO number to call, email only. That is a bit of a crap sandwich if you ask me.
ESP is the same way, hopefully like ESP Roland/Boss responds quickly.
People still use phones to call? And, like, talk?
weird
Is your phone on a side table in the hallway or attached to the kitchen wall with a huge curly cord?
Still having a hard time grasping this one. Like, are we talking by choice here?
Here’s a start @john if you want to phone and get a real person.
" Please use the Service Center Locator below to find the nearest Authorized Roland Service Center. If you would prefer to send your product to Roland for factory service, please contact our Parts and Service Department at (323) 890-3771 for a return authorization (R.A.) number, or submit a new service request."
When it comes to things like this, yes I like to talk to humans. I find you get better service and turn-around.
That’s right. Computers don’t give a flying fuck through rolling donut. A human being on the other hand doesn’t like getting harangued, and talked at in a calm and reasonable tone for a long time even less.
So what’s the verdict on the stuck button issue you guys experienced with the Boss Waza-Air transmitter?
Is it a deal-killer issue?
Was there any response from Boss?
Are your headphones/amp sets still working?
Is this set worth buying?
I love mine @MikeC ,
If I had a criticism it would be the headset gives no warning it is out of charge, but besides that I think they are awesome for a realistic bass sound.
Cheers Brian
I found a local repair place ~15 min from my house, but, before going I decided to try to “free” the button myself. So pushed it a few dozen times and whatever it was sticking on became unstuck and all is fine now since.
That said, Boss customer service is crap, but a lot of companies CS is crap these days, but theirs is the bottom of the pickle barrel for sure.
It’s totally worth it, amazing sound.
I agree @TNKA36 - the app knows the battery level, it could give a warning. Silly not to update the app.
Best sound hands down period.
I really fancy a set of these, and the ones for guitar. Would be nice if they did a model that could cater for both. However I can’t really justify the cost at the moment
Thanks for the feedback, @TNKA36 & @John_E.
I’ve been searching for a great cordless practice solution. By all accounts, the Waza-Air is the undisputed champ.
According to the Roland site, when asked if the Boss Waza-Air (guitar version) will work for bass:
Yes.
In the dedicated “BOSS TONE STUDIO” app (iOS, Android), set AMP TYPE to “FLAT/BASS/ACOUSTIC.”
I’ve also read testimonials that the bass version works well with guitar by cranking the treble setting.
That’s interesting as the guitar version is a little bit cheaper than the bass version.
I think that, at least in part, the internal difference between the bass and guitar models is the cab sims in each version.
Also, as has been stated previously, the bass market is much smaller than the guitar market, which could explain the price difference between the two units.
I pulled the trigger on my Boss Waza-Air Bass just now.
Everyone online (Sweetwater, Musician’s Friend, GC, Amazon, etc.) has them listed at $349.99 - a $70 drop from the $419.99 MSRP.
I took a shot and called Sweetwater to ask for a lower price and…Boom! Got mine for $320.
That’s still about $70 more than I paid for my most expensive bass and about the same as I paid for my Sansamp SH1, the spendiest equipment I have so far
It is what it is.
Got my Boss Waza-Air Bass. Sounds amazing.
My basses’ voices are crystal clear on the Super Flat setting. The effects are way cool to play with, too.
The spatial, gyro stuff? Eh, it’s interesting for a bit, but no big deal in the final analysis. I leave it and the effects off.
But, best of all, the untethered, wireless freedom to move and groove is worth the price to me. I dig being able to play anywhere in the house I want, without bothering anyone as I play as loud as a raging thunderstorm. Too much fun.
