YES! Haven’t had one in years though.
The one I don’t get is Milky Way bars - they are like bad Snickers.

If you ever come to Tokyo, PM me and I’ll show you the dagashi bar.
I have some truly awesome vsts, just from arturia lab 5 alone and they came free with the controller, bonus.
But there isnt a chance on earth that id get rid of my hardware synths. Theyre too tactile and basically beautiful!
They are super fun and way more entertaining to play around with, for sure. For me, though what it comes down to:
Playing around for fun: Hardware is awesome
Actually getting stuff done: Software by a wide margin
I tested this out in 2023 again, and bought the three hardware synths I mentioned… and then immediately remembered why I hated the hardware workflow
This was a bit extreme as they were also all hardware analog monosynths, but then again, I love those.
Its definitely each to their own, but as long as music is made, who cares how you make it!
Yep! The last thing I will do is judge someone else’s synth workflow. It’s complicated enough as it is and whatever works for you works
Amen to that! And yes, it super complicated. Ive got an issue at the minute where all my drum recordings play back about 50% quieter, sigh
Honestly Behringer’s clone is probably better than the original. The Behringer Pro-1 clone was 100% better made than Sequential ever made an actual Prophet Pro-1.
Well I was in Ikebe today and got some quality alone time with a red BB734a.
And amazingly - I am absolutely keeping my black one now. I am glad I got to play it.
It’s super gorgeous with the nicest translucent red, but after being used to the feel of the matte black one, I missed it immediately when trying the red one. You know how the neck feels on yours? Imagine the bass body feeling like that too. It’s just awesome, I love it.
So, despite loving the new color a lot, GAS averted. I did not expect this outcome; I don’t remember my first BB (also gloss) bugging me at all. It’s just that I am spoiled by the matte finish now I guess.
That’s awesome, and totally get it. I’d love to get a matte black 735 but thinking about it, it really doesn’t make sense in my head (justifying the expense). I’ve got a PJ that I like a lot already. Now, that said… the opportunity is there to upgrade my Kiloton to an L-2500 at some point.
I do, I used to love them on All Hallows Eve!
you don’t need to do this
srsly I have no idea where this myth started but the internet seems to love it.
There’s no need to acclimate the bass. A bass is not an acoustic instrument.
All of my basses have been shipped. Regardless of the temperature outside when each was delivered, I have never waited to unbox and play them. There has never been an adverse effect.
Yes it’s a popular myth. My guess is manufacturers were tired of dealing with people that said things like “it fell out of tune in just 24 hours!” but if you go in expecting to need to make slight tweaks over time, there is no harm at all in opening immediately.
Put another way, it’s not in some kind of hermetically sealed thermos. It’s in an uninsulated cardboard box. It’s gonna warm up at the same rate either inside or outside the box.
At this point, waiting until tomorrow isn’t a big deal for me. It’s almost bed time, and I wasn’t expecting the thing to be delivered until tomorrow anyway.
But you bet your ass I’m leaving the office exactly on time (or maybe even a few minutes early) tomorrow afternoon.
