It’s the Geezer Butler signature model, even its soul is black. ![]()
That is so gorgeous. I do love an Ibanez. Very jealous!
Stunning
They’re beautiful! And they seem to colour match each other! They look great side by side!
Thanks ![]()
I went ahead and did a bad thing! I picked this Sire up today! I guess I have a problem and my name is Tom!
Beautiful. I’ve had my M5 for a few weeks and I’m still tryingf to decide which set up I like best. Enjoy the hell out of it, that color is beautiful. Toms really are prone to doing dumb stuff (I’m a Tom too).
These things look sweet. It’s probably the first double-buck in the same price range I would pick over a TRBX604.

Here’s a cheatsheet for what all the knobs and switches do.
That comes in handy, thanks! 5 knobs, 2 are double stacked and 3 toggles! It’s like operating the controls for a fire control radar with missiles inbound!
Congrats, man. That beauty has tons of tonal versatility. Have a blast exploring all it can do. ![]()
Very good touch with the hangable headstock. I’m nervous about sharp pointy end but it looks so good
Congrats man
I don’t know why I have been skeert to try fretless! No fret buzz!
tbh for me I see fretless as pure disadvantage - I love frets. But I get why people like them.
The vast majority of bass guitar usage by my favorite band is, ironically, fretless.
I’ve figured out where I like the tone knob, EQ, and have my mid set where I like it. I’ll play around with the pickup switches and pickup blend depending on the song.
Coming from the Yamaha preamp, I had to relearn what does what. The active / passive switch was the opposite (took me a day or two to figure out that I was trying to adjust EQ in passive mode), and the treble and bass knobs are on opposite sides. I also mixed up the pickup blend with the tone knob and was used to the boost / cut going the other way. It’s a whole thing to figure out so play with it and keep that pdf open for a bit till you get it all down (I still have it open on my laptop to reference).
Glad to hear you’re getting the hang of the Heritage-3 preamp. It’s amazingly capable and also easy to use once you get the lay of the land. Enjoy experiencing all it’s capable of doing. Not to mention those badass, splittable humbuckers. The whole package is a whole lotta wow.
Very nice!! Congratulations!
Too close for missiles. Switching to guns! ![]()
