That’s happened before!

And you’re still here to tell us about it. Bravo!

Just in training, off of Barking Sands Hawaii. The flew drones at us, we didnt engage with missiles and took them with 5"54cal with the fire control solution provided from the Aegis weapon system. It was a success

Another NBD for me!

I’d been wanting a smaller version of the Fender Kingman for a while. I saw a friend playing his Washburn acoustic and thought it was perfect. Decided I’d keep an eye out for one.

(Friend Dave with his Washburn)

On a whim I searched my locals and saw someone had just listed this little one for only $500 Canadian! Sold new for 1200 and was only 6 months old.

I had to have it, so I did!

Martin 000C Junior Bass. A wonderful little one I keep next to my desk for quick practice. Plays like butter. The action is super low and easy to play. It’s dreamy.

Nice, I have a Kingman. What is that wrap on the strings?

The Kingman has D’Addario Chrome Flatwounds. smooth sound.

The thread at the top appears to be coming unwound on the E. Not sure why.

I was meaning that canvas looking Daddrio thing on the strings.

Probably a humidifier pack.

If you live in very dry climates, it could be necessary to use.

yes, as @antonio says, it’s a humidity pack. Seller had that one and one under the head stock in the case.

got a yamaha fg9

I got a drum machine!

I’m sure it’s Howard’s fault somehow.

Oh cool! The DrumBrute is awesome. Arturia rules.

Yeah, I might be developing an arturia problem

I hear they make an ointment for that now.

I think it’s just not looking at your bank account. I do kind of want a minifreak to go with the drumbrute…

Love mine. Such a great little synth.

The MiniBrute is great too, love the brute filter.

Of course what you really want is a PolyBrute.

I think softsynths are fine actually. Plus that’s Nord price territory.

Softsynths are more than fine, often they are better, and they are way more convenient for my workflow. MiniFreak V sounds very close to my MiniFreak.

That’s also one of the coolest things about it too, the hardware directly works with the plugin and changes in either affect the other in real time. It’s awesome.

I really dig those little Martin’s. I also like Taylor’s version as well. Ive been keeping an eye out for one to use as a travel bass.

I couldn’t help it.

When I started BassBuzz it was early on in the COVID pandemic cycle… during the first lockdowns, I think. I was faced with the choice between two instruments I loved playing. Of course, I chose bass and sold off that other instrument.

I’ve always regretted that. I’d had that instrument since I took lessons in elementary school. I decided to buy another one and re-expand my musical horizons:

Yeah, an accordion. I bought a Hohner Bravo III 72-bass accordion.

HEY! It’s gear, and I’m acquiring it, OKAY!?
