Honestly, a quick google and eyeballing and I’m so lost that I can distract myself fairly easily from dropping down this rabbit hole at the moment. Not to mention the price tags. I can justify a $100 here and there, I have a harder time when it gets to the 300-500 mark.

Especially when I have no intentions of moving any further into crazy stuff than some YouTube covers. I don’t have aspirations for joining a band, especially since I can’t even get my noggin to memorize 1 song fully.

Happy New Bass Day and Happy Birthday

Such gorgeous colouring though, and then it gets hidden by the pick guard .:frowning:

Yeah… it does… good spot… but, when you are playing it if you look down, you don’t see the pickguard.

I must confess that after looking at them on internet i went to a guitar shop to test a Dingwall… it stopped there but who knows…

Unpopular opinion:

  • I got tired of the Dingwall sound

Don’t do it… save your GAS for something else!

I have a J
… definitely need a Dingwall

I just bought a MS.
Decided to go with a Ibanez BTB806MS.
Heard many Dingwall videos and also considered them… but then in comparisons with other MS basses on the same price range / level, I would most likely have gone for the Spector.

Dingwall seems to be really comfortable in their own tonality. They are awesome basses… but it’s time to risk new sounds.

I’m interested in those spectors, but there are a lot of reviews mentioning neck dive and I’m very not interested in dealing with that. I want to try one out, but $2k basses are not in the budget right now and the closest dealer I can find is 3 hours away on the northwest side of Detroit.
