So, I had a bass listed, one I wasn’t playing any longer. I was going to list a second, but I figured “what the hell”, and took them down to GC to see what I’d get for trade-in value. I’d found a used bass on their website at another location I was interested in getting and figured it would be easy if I took care of it all at the same time.
For the first bass, they offered me more than I had it listed for. For the second, they offered me more than I was going to list it for. I was honestly blown away; I’d never seen GC offer such high dollar amounts. While I was in the store waiting for everything to process, I tried out three basses… one of which I could not put down, and when I played any other bass, I just wanted to play the first one instead.
So, I didn’t get the bass on their website. I ended up leaving the store with this combination of new stuff:
That’s a Boss Katana 210 amp (160 watts through 2 10" woofers, built-in USB DAI, and low power mode perfect for my small space) and an Ibanez SRMS800 bass. The fanned fret thing is awesome. I love playing it, I can’t put it down. 
Edit: Oh, and I got about $100 back, too.

The 110 probably would have been a better choice given the space I have, but… I figured “I’ve got so much trade in value, why not GO BIG!?”

Not unpopular at all. The paranormal series is great and that Rascal is really comfortable to play and sounds great. It’s a good example of a bass that punches way above its cost.
