I take it you’re big fan of marzipan?
Is that a tranquilizer or a cookie like thing
Once again saying hi and to post about this experience.
Not long ago I posted having acquired a vintage Ibanez which looked and played great but I simply couldn’t handle the tone. I was lucky enough to return it and finally ended up with what I always thought was the best option for my taste.
Now I have two p-basses, one with rounds and one with flats. It’s simple, straight forward and I can EQ in such a way that I actually understand much better what I’m doing. Anyway…
The white and red bass is Miyuki, a 93-94 MIJ bass with the signature of a dog that gnawed it. The new one is a 1999 MIM Standard p-bass in midnight wine and only the pick guard was replaced.
They feel and sound very different, the Standard’s pickups are much stronger and more modern sounding. The MIJ is a PB62 reissue with a vintage tone.
These are my two basses and I’m really happy with them.
I had to share it here since you all know how the cookie crumbles…
Cheers to everyone!
A bass I’ve been GAS’ing over since before I bought my first bass last year I just found on Reverb for about 40% off retail price. The issues I have are that I’m 100% going to get in trouble if I buy it right now but also it’s a floor model from a store. I don’t know that I want that.
Often those are great buys
I’m assuming you know which bass it is… this might be worth a week of couch time imo.
Also… how does the red look in person? I was looking at those on Reverb and I kinda wish it had the same red paint job that the TRBX’s have.
Which bass is it?
The BB734a, I figured Howard felt a disturbance in the force.
Wait… since when is there a red BB734a? Are there new colors?
Wild, apparently a new color, never seen it, looks very close to Hooky’s BB color to me, I love it!
That was my first thought. I thought the BBPH was more of a glossy red, thsi one looks like you can see the wood grain under the paint.
Seriously I have grown to love the black but I am tempted to trade over for this color
Looks like it might be US only, locally it’s still just the original two colors.
Indigo Blue looks awesome too but is misleading, it’s much more of a translucent blue/green than an indigo color.
It’s available in Europe as well. Seems weird they wouldn’t sell it in Japan
IKR? Oh well.
I’m falling in love with Squier Precision CV 70s…damned @Al1885
I was headed that way, but I missed out on the green one and the other colours are just meh
Noooooooooo like myself! All together with me: damned @Al1885 !!!
The blue one?
