Hi everyone. I’m Pastor Bob. 50 + years ago I played bass in a band named ‘Gruff’ (hard like a rock). We played top 40s at a local YMCA in Fairfield, OH sponsored by WSAI out of Cincinnati.
It seems like forever ago. Well, almost 70, I’m not interested in a new shiny sports car but taking up bass again. I have forgotten so much that I felt this was the way to get back into the groove.
My church has many talented musicians and I want to join in on the fun. It’s always good to make a joyful noise!

@PamPurrs I’m curious to hear how long it was before you felt like ‘ok i know how to play now’ or when you started feeling like you could extrapolate and improvise something comfortably, compared to starting out.
I’m in mid 50’s with learning disability and assume i have a long haul ahead of me.
