Hi Everyone,
I am another one in my 50s. I began piano when I was 7 stopping when I was 13 because I was more interested in football and girls. In my twenties, a friend gave me his guitar when he went to work abroad, so I taught myself from library books (before the internet was a thing).
I started learning bass a few years ago but life very quickly got in the way so I am starting from the beginning again. Though bass will be my focus, I am also learning the Dong Xiao (Chinese Flute) so I can accompany my wife who plays the GuQin, which is a plucked seven-string Chinese musical instrument.
From everything I have seen so far, there are lots of great people in this community so I hope we all enjoy are journey together
