Hey! I just finished the B2B course. My goal was to do the Hardcore 30-day program but it ended up taking me 32 days, instead. Nevertheless, it was Well Worth the cost of the program and the time invested. I have gained a TON of confidence.
My goal is to play bass for my churchās praise band. Iāve played wind instruments (primarily brass in the recent past) for over 50 years but have never played any type of stringed instrument. Since finishing the B2B course, I have started going through YouTube and playing along with many of the praise songs our band likes to play. Now all I need is for a reliable drummer to show up so I can get off the trap set and go back to being a musician.

This feels like a self-help group 
Hi, Iām Duncan, and Iām a wanna be bassistā¦
Gosh, 35 years go, while I was at university, I was writing songs and had aspirations of being singer-songwriter. The trouble was that my guitar playing was pretty awful and I was too scared to get up an play my songs in front of anyone. The dream was just that, a dream. I left university, got a job, travelled the world and fulfilled my performing fix by standing in front of client leadership teams and selling business transformation (as I still do).
Just over three weeks ago a client died. He was more or less the same age as me. It really did knock me, life is short and time is running out. The following weekend, I was listening to the radio and heard someone talking about the cognitive health benefits of learning to play an instrument. This is apparently extremely beneficial for children (yep, my daughter is āencouragedā to practice piano!), but is good for anyone, at any age. So I thought #@$& it, Iām gonna learn bass!
I bought a second hand Tobias Toby IV, plus an amp for Ā£100 (Facebook market place is great!) and now Iām just under two weeks into B2BA. Last night I videoed myself playing along to U2ās With or without you. OK, I made a couple of mistakes, but hell, two weeks ago I wouldnāt have known where to start! And now Iām thinking there must be other 50+ year olds in my area that would love to form a band, just for the hell of it. Give it another month of lessons and practice and Iāll start looking
