Hi all, new to BassBuzz as of today. My name is Ted and I’m 68 and have played guitar for 60 years. Got my first guitar a Teisco Del Rey in 1964 when I was 8 yrs old.
I’m retired now, living South Carolina about 3 miles from the beach . With my free time I decided to learn the bass. I came to BB hoping I can learn the correct way to play bass and not pick up too many bad habits which I did so many years ago with the guitar. Look forward to engaging with others and have fun.

Howdy folks. I’m Charles. I tried to start learning bass a couple of years ago, but as soon as I got it home, my son took it over (as he did my keyboards and guitars). He’s now in college (can’t take all the equipment with him) and I’m about to retire, so I decided it would be a great opportunity to start a new hobby for my hopefully soon to be free time. What really kickstarted this revival was my son saying he would love to be able to play music together, so here we go. I really appreciate everybody sharing so much on these forums. Information overload, but I’m having a blast learning so much stuff.
