I am eager to learn about “new” stuff!!!
Hi everyone!
My name is Christina, I’m 39 years old, and I live in Germany. Music has always been a big part of my life—I spent years singing and playing the flute when I was younger, so I’ve been familiar with reading sheet music (at least in treble clef). Getting used to bass clef was a bit of a challenge at first, but I’m getting the hang of it!
For the past 10 years, I’ve occasionally picked up the guitar and bass at home, and I also had a long phase of experimenting with electronic music using Ableton and a MIDI keyboard. But what really fascinates me is the deep, powerful sound of the bass. That’s why I recently got serious about learning it properly with my new Squier Affinity PJ-Bass in metallic blue and Josh’s bass course. I’ve been at it for a month now, practicing at least 3 hours a day, and I’m really enjoying my progress.
Musically, I’m a huge fan of Nine Inch Nails, and I mostly listen to rock and metal. But right now, I’m really excited to explore new genres and broaden my musical horizon. My next goal is to take on the 50 Songs in 100 Days Challenge, and I can’t wait to see how much I’ll improve along the way.
Also, when I’m not playing bass, I’m a total sci-fi nerd—so if anyone here shares that passion, we already have two things in common! Looking forward to learning, sharing experiences, and getting to know other bass players here.
Cheers,
Christina

oooh off the top of my head, fontaines dc, the murder capital, viagra boys, fat dog, amyl and the sniffers, sprints, young fathers, pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs… that little lot should keep you occupied for a while
EDIT: apologies, cant see how to quote, so this is a reply to @Whying_Dutchman who asked for suggestions of other good bands besides idles.
There are a few quoting options, but the simplest is to tap/click the direct reply icon for a post (left-facing, curved black arrow), then tap/click the speech bubble icon at the top left of the comment window. That will insert the entire post of whomever you’re replying to.
Welcome @Fooaholic !
