Welcome @nessaddison !
Hi and welcome along @nessaddison !
Hello everyone! I’m JC from Indiana. I played bass when I was younger in some bar bands and then found the piano/keys fast forward a couple of decades I was running foh for some friends and their bass player was a no show so they asked if I could fill in, I hadn’t picked up a bass in at least 25 years but sure why not. I knew the chord progression to most of their set list so I pretty much camped out on the root and tried to add a fill here and there and I had a blast! After the show I we were taking and I commented about how much fun it was and how I thought it sounded pretty good, the front man then said “yeah but you really should stick to keys because you suck at bass, you ever heard of muting?” The next day I was at the music store buying a new bass and a month or so later signing up for B2B and after the first few lessons realized my bass playing needs help. About halfway through now and see much improvement and having a lot of fun doing it. Anyway glad to be part of the community and really enjoy the cover videos. Cheers!

Hi all! I’m Isaac and I live in Florida. I wanted to play bass back in high school, but never knew how to get started. It might’ve taken a few wrong turns and a decade or two, but after a conversation with some musician friends last year I ordered a cheap bass and tuned into bass buzz. While I’ve greatly enjoyed the free lessons and content on youtube, I thought I’d get more out of having a more disciplined approach. Looking forward to learning, and I’m hoping to be ready to join a band next year!

Hi there!
I’m Alex from Hamburg, Germany. About 30 years ago, I had a band where I sang and (somehow) played the electric mandola… Now am, step by step, finding my way back to making music.
I dabble with bass and guitar, put down some small tunes for my storytelling podcast, finally started jamming, and would love to hit the stage again (possibly before retirement). Tinkerer, solderer, Linux user.
B2B is amazing. I’m already deeply impressed by the knowledge, love, amount of work and attention to detail you all put in there. I am sure I’m in the right place to get a solid foundation and - finally! - fingerstyle skills.
Basses: Yamaha BB425, Peavey Grind BXP 4 and a resurrected P-copy (heavy af).
Cheers

Welcome, @Alex_Yak. Glad you’re here. Learning proper fingerstyle technique was primarily why I signed up for B2B. As a guitar and bass player all my life, I used a pick, but I always admired fingerstyle bass players for their nuanced control and expansive use of dynamics. B2B will teach you how to play fingerstyle bass properly. Enjoy!
Welcome @Alex_Yak
Have fun!

Welcome @DanielR ! That’s a beautiful bass you have created yourself! Great job! I’m sure you will enjoy the course, and it will be very useful. Have fun!
