Welcome, @Rachel_P ! This is a great age to start playing bass guitar! And I’m sure you will enjoy the course and our community here!
Welcome, @Tarkisal !
It happens to me all the time!
Whenever I hear some background music at a restaurant etc, I get distracted listening to the bassline. I even find nice basslines from music I don’t even like.
When you feel the 'call of the bass" you’re doomed, it keeps calling all the time.
But it’s a good thing.
Hi @nessaddison and welcome! I’m happy you decided to try the bass and found this course! I’m sure you will enjoy it!
Hi and welcome along @Alex_Yak !
Hi @joecarroll604 ! I’m glad you’re enjoying the course. It has been very helpful to me as well. Josh is a great teacher and the course is so well designed. Welcome!
Hi @Isaac.G and welcome!
Hi @Alex_Yak and welcome!
Probably it won’t take long before you’ll start modding bass guitars, specially if you spend some time on this forum

Welcome along and enjoy the course!
Hello. I’m Arpan from New Jersey. I started lesson #1 today. I decided to start this B2B course so that my young sons can watch me learn and hopefully get inspired to pick up an instrument when they get a little bit older.
Welcome. That’s a very cool reason to learn bass (besides being able to play one when you finish).

I’m in North Jersey but originally from Central!
Ah, The Cure… I can so relate. Add Gary Numan (“Dance”), in my case

Hi everyone!
My name is Alex and I have been doing music things for almost two decades. I started with guitar, drifted to bass, got a degree in classical guitar, drifted into experimental stuff, eventually ending back up on bass! I also do some visual stuff with video synthesizers and feedback!
I’ve recently been working on building back my right hand technique (looking at you, Dean Town, at 80 bpm), learning higher position harmonics, and transcribing the heck out of 2000’s indie stuff.
Looking forward to chatting with you all!
Hi And welcome along @frenchalex !
