Kala Wanderer…
Hi everyone,
First things first, congratulations Josh. You’re an awesome teacher.
My name is Djonique, I started these lessons a few years ago, but my consistency fell off. Life will life. I restarted last month and have been enjoying my bass ever since. I’m not usually on forums but I love this journey and I hope to share the experience with other people who enjoy the bass. I really want to have fun and learn as much as I can.
P.S. Just finished the Benchmark lesson…brutal lol
Welcome @Nique
Have fun!

Hello everyone!
My name is David.
I’m from the UK - early forties and am a gamer at night, business consultant by day (very exciting!)
I played piano as a kid up to 3rd grade but quit when I discovered girls. My teens and ealry 20’s were spent djing so I’ve always been fairly musical.
Havent touched and instrument however since the piano but grabbed a bass about a month ago. Absolutely loving it so far and the course. It’s clearly the superior instrument!
My goal is to join a band if I can find one by summer 26.
Welcome @dnewton1982 there’s a few other UK buzzers who are regularly on the forum so I’m sure there’ll be plenty of advice when you want to join a band

Nice! I’m in the market for a rumbler, I can’t wait!
Hello Djonique @Nique and David @dnewton1982 and welcome!
Hello! Im Paul, from Essex, UK. I played bass as a teenager for a few years but never really got to a decent level, gave it up for a long time, decided to get another bass about 3 years ago but it’s mainly sat gathering dust because I lacked the confidence to pick it up and play it.
A few weks ago I came across some Youtube videos of Davie504 and Charles Berthoud and felt inspired to pick it up again, but knew that I wanted to stick with it this time and that meant going back to basics and making sure I had solid fundementals so that I could take it further than I’ve ever managed to in the past.
I looked up some online courses, got recommended BassBuzz, and now I’m here. I’m aiming to do at least 1, mainly 2 lessons a day, and all the workout videos. So far Josh has made me cleaned up my muting and plucking technieques so the stuff I can play now sounds cleaner and better already!

What’s good everyone? My name is Chris. Just enrolled today, sort of to celebrate my 5-year sobriety anniversary. Played bass for a lot of years, but then didn’t for a long time. Started again a year and a half ago, but I keep getting frustrated with no direction. Looking forward to the courses, and seriouisly SHAKIN SOME DAMN WALLS!!!
Hi David, nice to meet you! Lots of gamers around here! I’m currently all up Resident Evil 9.
Hi there, nice to meet you! Billy Jean is definitely brutal I think most of us get a little traumatized lol!
Hi there! It’s a great course, I like the way he introduces new topics and skills but still circles back to review old topics as he goes. It helps me pay attention and that’s quite a feat lol. Welcome!
Hi Chris, glad to meet you, and congratulations, that’s no mean feat! I’m pushing up on 4 years myself!
