Hello all, my name is Győző and I am from Transylvania, Romania.

I come from a sport background, right now there are only 2 sports I do: MTB (anything where the jumps are smaller than 40 feet) and muay thai. Besides that I do daily walks with my two border collies.

The constant rise of prices of subscription annoyed me for a while, but end of January I decided to cancel everything. Except YouTube and NordVPN.

With the lot of free time I decided that I wanted to listen more actively to the music I like, and found some BassBuzz videos by accident on YT. And I’m glad I did.

I had a bass guitar when I was 17 and could play the intro for Rammstein’s ‘Rosenrot’ and the C major scale, but that’s it. Sold my PS5 and bought myself an Orange Crush Bass 50 and a Fender Standard P-Bass. Got some promotion on the guitar, and payed 560 dollars for it.

Since then I again own a bass guitar, but the difference is that I practice at least an hour every day. Not necessary the modules, as I don’t want to rush them.

There are some play-alongs that I revisit, because it’s fun, but I have to admit that I get intimidated by some of the basslines from the music I listen to.

My only regret is not starting to play bass sooner. One of my cats sits on the amp and yells at me until I plug in my instrument, I kid you not.

I lurked a bit the forums before writing here, and what a nice community. Everyone praises Josh, because he did a good job in making this bass course, but I would like to applaud everyone who has worked on it, from the developers who created this site to the editors who cut the videos. You guys did an amazing job.

I am glad to be part of this community, you seem like cool folk.

May the bass line move your bowels!
