Something like that is a drastic option. You may end up going that route eventually, but it’s good to see you stand your ground after seeing so much improvement recently. It’s always best to exhaust all of your options first.

Thank you for the update @PamPurrs .
It’s great to hear that due to your firm stance on your future you’ve got the doctors to listen to what you want.
Keeping everything crossed for you for a great outcome

Thanks for the update @PamPurrs ! As others have said, I think it is great that you were able to convince the doctors to stay with the treatment a bit longer than to do something drastic such as suggested by the experts. Hang in there and we’re all praying for you!

Thanks for the update @PamPurrs!
Self-advocacy in front of doctors on tight schedules can be the most difficult thing in the world. Keeping the focus and the faith can be real tough.
Well done, and way to stick to your guns.
All the best to you moving forward.

Well, I’m here at the cancer center getting my immunotherapy infusion, and thought I’d post a brief update…
Not much news to report. I’m still improving in many ways, including my general strength, energy, and, stamina. I’ve been able to practice bass more frequently and for longer periods. The pain is minimal and I’m taking less pain meds. People tell me my speech is improving, so that’s a good thing (I’ll test it out on the Live Hang this Sunday).
The best news is I’m slowly regaining the weight that I had lost since the cancer first manifested itself. I took a look (on my scale app) at a histogram of my weight for the past year, and it’s quite shocking.

My weight plummeted from nearly 160 lbs in September 2021, to a low of 133 in June of this year. I’m now approaching 144, with a goal of 150 (ideal for a 5’8" female).
Life is good! Thank you all for your support.
