Thank you @travis.thepadre.reed
Just wanted to give everyone an update on my recovery…
I’m doing better each day, but recovery from this type of surgery is slow. My weight is stable and right about where I want it to be, despite the fact that I’m only getting nourishment from the feeding tube. I have weekly physical therapy sessions to help restore upper body muscle and nerves that were affected by the surgery, and also with a speech therapist who is helping me learn how to use the electrolarynx so I can talk like a robot I’ve also been pushing myself to practice bass a little longer each day so I can get back to my previous stamina. I’m even working on a cover with the upright (Yamaha SBL300).
Sara is holding up well and has been an excellent nurse and companion throughout.
Thanks again for all the support I have received from my fellow Buzzers!
Great news, Pam.
