New to bass!

Hey hey,

Sarah from the land down under.
Just started learning bass and absolutely love it. Does anyone else struggle with self control when it comes to buying more basses?

Hi from France, @aussie_seza ! Welcome aboard.

What’s “self control”?

I bought a Fender Jazz 14 years ago when I started playing again. I injured my left shoulder falling on ice. Bought a short scale Gibson SG. Now I have around 20 short and medium scale basses. And a PRS guitar arrived via UPS this morning.

So, no, I don’t struggle with self control at all.

It’s the thing that lets you settle for a two thousand dollar bass rather than a custom Mayones.

I have a tone knob, I don’t think there is a self control knob

I told myself I’m not allowed to buy a second one until I’ve been playing for 6 months. It’s been 4 months. I’m already thinking about what I’m going to get …

I’ve been playing for one year. I’ve purchased 6 basses, and sold 2.
