I would so much prefer that over an 11 pound anchor, lol.
I had a bit of a hiccup in my life ,unfortunately needed funds to keep my head above water so unfortunately the Ric had to go
The German Warwicks are the same unfortunately
Light weight ones? Well, hard to say. Light is good but not always playing a few light ones for a few weeks and grabbed my 12.5lbs Steve Harris modded I just love the feel of it. Call me weird but I don’t mind heavy basses as long as they are balanced.
Same here. I don’t notice the Peavey T-40s weight Vs other basses.
In fact the only time I notice weight as an issue and have to make adjustments is picking up the Hofner, lol.
Strongly prefer light basses. 4kg or under I tend to like much better for overall feel and heft. Too heavy is not my thing.
I should not be allowed out unsupervised!
Went to have a look at the MM Stingray and the guy had this too.
She’s not a collector’s bass by any means and has been well played but she’s what I began my search for, an old Fender Jazz with custom 1978 pickups and a 1979 Badass bridge.
For me it’s in memory of Joe.
Grats, that’s a beauty Mac!
Congrats, Mac! Very cool and classy, indeed.
Love it. Looks great.
It actually looks really good…
But then again, as the Romans already said: “De gustibus non est disputandum”
Digging the fretboard, Mac - might need a bit of TLC though
Is it rosewood??
Thank you @John_E and @Krescht ( I think )
It’s definitely in need of a little tlc @joergkutter .
The neck is maple
The neck, yes. But what of the fingerboard??? (If it is maple, too, then it is dirtier than I imagined )
The neck seems to be maple as well. It seems quite old, so the lacquered wood did most probably darken quite a bit.
I bet you wanna clean it too
