I don’t think a similar thread already exists : I would like everyone to show the original / weird / interesting / pretty bass shapes they know. No need to show a Jazz Bass or a Stingray … we’re more seaking for uncommon shapes !
I start with the Gibson RD Bass :
and of course the Yamaha SBV (here a 500 but the 550 and 800 share the same shape) :

You could lump Alembic in with the EBO and the Hofner club and the LP jr tribute
also the Gibson Explorer shape is well know for guitars but probably way less for basses :
same for the Flying V :
We’ve had a couple of flying Vs for sale in Oz recently. I was so tempted but had another bass at the time

Trivia: When the original Longhorn came out in 1958 the “Lipstick Tube” pickups were made using actual lipstick tubes sourced surplus from a cosmetics manufacturer.
