Very nice @JerryP
Thank you Pam!
Hi, everyone! I’m back with my beloved P-bass.
I just recorded this cover of a song called Pub Feed by The Chats. They are a bunch of dudes (should I say “blokes”?) from Australia that are pretty much single handedly bringing punk back to mainstream.
I hope you enjoy watching! Thank you!
P.S.: this is also my first time playing a full song with a pick!
The Chats - Pub Feed
nice punk !
oh yeah
Great cover. Love the song. P-bass is perfect for punk.
Justin Hawkins Rides Again covered their Smoko song about 5 months back. Good stuff
Nice nice nice @robbp ! That song demands a pick for sure
well damn if that didn’t sound fantastic @robbp !!
I am enjoying pick playing more and more and more
That’s some effortless picking there @robbp. Interesting pinky support and muting role.
Nice job @robbp !
Nickelback How you remind me bass cover.
Squier Classic Vibe 60’s P Bass with Black Widow Strings
Hey @robbp Chicken schnitty, tip top cover. That was absolutely in the pocket. I loved it, great work on that picking.
Very nicely done @Vince ! I’m not familiar with Nickelback songs but I thought your tone and timing were good.
It’s a beautiful day over here today so I thought it’s time to jump on the new p-bass and take it for a spin through ‘I wanna be sedated’ by The Ramones.
Keeping with the spirit of punk, I made a couple of minor fluffs but considering it was recorded in one take and with little or no production the squier holds up well. I’m thinking that maybe it will return in Number of the Beast in the near future!
Sooooo… 1 2 3 4 …
Great job Ed! One of my favorite Ramones songs. The Squire sounds great.
Yay thanks ! It’s such a nice instrument - we’re going to be spending many happy hours together
Good job @Vince and quite artistic / creative.
I like the lo-fi rendition.
Would have liked your bass a bit cleaner to hear but I get it.
Overall sounded spot on, well done!
Nice picking marathon @Ed
Loved it.
Go Squier!
Thanks!! The picking speed wasn’t too bad on this recorded version but the live speed is insane…
That’s awesome @Ed I’ve never imagined that I could play it when the bass is hanging that low, but you made it look so natural and effortless.
I envy your picking accuracy it looks like you didn’t have the care in the world but you didn’t miss any note. So jealous!!
