Sounds great @Ric5

@terb this is 3 Doors Down - When I’m Gone btw
I am guessing Minutes to Midnight is @Ric5s cover band name.

Minutes to Midnight is no more … they were a good cover band in the early 2000s. I played with them for several years. Here’s another cover.

Hey @Ric5 would you mind if you type the name of the song / artist along with your post.

One of our founding fathers and all round good guy @terb does a complete list at the end of each year of all the covers and just the simple act of typing artist name / song would make his task a little easier.

Thanks

It’s a been a busy few weeks. This working for yourself thing is hard lol :joy:

Sitting down to catch up.

@Ek_Bass man I’m a sucker for a cheeky slide less than a minute in

@Paul_9207 Oh boy that pick grab cracked me up. Quality. Didn’t know the song. It’s now added to my Ipod. Top chugging :metal:

@AlexDevineMusic nice clean playing.

@robbp that tone is absolutely joyous to listen to. Top cover

I’m glad it did. Right after I recorded that I said to my wife that I had just recorded the dumbest thing, but I thought it was funny too.

Wow, it’s been too long! I have so many posts to catch up on. Life got really busy over the last couple of months I have barely had any time to take a breath. Excited to go back through the thread to see all the amazing covers and hopefully find more time for the forum in the coming weeks.

Even though I’ve been busy, I still managed to squeeze in as much bass as I could and have been working on this song for quite some time. I am by no means finished with this one, but I figured it was worth sharing and would appreciate any feedback. This is probably the toughest song I have tried so far but I felt determined to play some STP so here’s my best effort. Didn’t feel like tabbing this one but I’ll get around to it eventually

Honestly not because of that. It was because it was the only song with the counting that I could find (the normal version the bass starts the song and I don’t know how to set a countdown using Amplitube )

As far as him playing the Rick originally, probably maybe.

I got that information from a Beatles wiki, but I think you’re right. If it wasn’t the Rick, I’m sure it was the Hofner! Speaking of Hofner, maybe that will be my next bass. That or a Mustang. Maybe.

Well…. Not so fast again. Lol.
He also had his Fender Jazz at this point and some speculate he used that on a few tracks. Everyone has their theories, and Paul can’t remember so it’s just lore at this point.

Did you use a phase pedal or is it just the recording?
