Love it @g13dip it’s definitely gig ready. I like your picking technique, it cuts just enough to bring out the tone and leave the rest to the bass tone to take care of the bottom end.

Wait a minute did that one guy suck on a lolly? This is a good one I’ve never heard of before but definitely going on my playlist. The solo was just perfect Knopfler’s tone. I’d love to setup a recording like that and burn it all it once like that.

That was great, I really enjoyed it. I never heard the song before. Love Knopfler, such an original instantly recognizable guitar player. He always serves the song too, he could shred all over these tracks, but his playing is tasteful and always leaves room for the other instruments. The bass especially shines through a lot of his work.

Well we’ll never know now @Al1885 because I just got a copyright strike. Not for the audio but for the video material I used in my cover. So I had to delete my original video and reload to YT with no video apart from the odd still and my ugly mug. Ho hum

Been a super busy week for me, haven’t been able to play much at all outside of an hour or two in the mornings before work. Would have liked to put some more time into this one but it’s good enough I think and I’m getting really sick of listening to this song, so it’s time to move on!
I started transcribing this one even though there’s great notation all over the internet. I am playing a slight variation in the main riff, substituting a C for a B because it sounded right to me and felt more natural to play it this way.
