export the audio from garage band into my iCloud account (which I can access on my iPhone)
shoot the video on the iPhone
import the video into iMovie, again on the iPhone
import the audio (from iCloud) into iMovie
sync the audio and video. I tend to do this by eye - watching for the 1 on the first bar of the song - but don’t always get this right. If I’ve recorded the video and the audio is been audible (i.e. captured in the video) then I try to get the audio tracks synced
overlay anything else I want add, for example in the past one, the pictures of Freddy Mercury
add the text. You should note that for each section of text you need a new split.
I’ve not found a tutorial video on this, it’s been more trial and error. In fact if you look over my videos, you can see the evolution as I have discovered things!
Very nice! I loved that album. I was always baffled that my friends, who were huge AIC fans, hated it so much. One of these friends even had 3 tattoos that were inspired by their previous album’s artwork. Spent a lot of time staring at the 3 legged dog with my headphones on. Nice playing!
Recently bought myself a Stingray Ray34. I love how I’m not fighting to get the sound I want to like I have been trying to with my Fender Jazz. I didn’t really understand what people meant by having a bass tone that “fits”. I think I understand that better now that I’ve been getting acquainted with the Stingray. Or it just could be that I just like active basses lol.
As we talked about, I do miss the more constructive feedback, but that’s in general. On this song, I spent so long remembering all the small things, that I absolutely love the positive feedback!
Very god job as always. You are already so good, so it is hard to give any pointers. Must be the same as I always try to work on, frething hand position. Also it is smart to try to stand when playing, but guess you just sit for the videos.
Nice bass and sound:-)
I clicked on the video, then immediately clicked on “Vimeo” to launch it there. Didn’t realize both were playing simultaneously only slightly off from one another, and was very confused as to what you were playing at first.
Awesome Cover @dlamson13 the harmonics at the intro was great. @sunDOG’s daughter really raise everybody’s game eh? My 10 year old offer to fly a drone shooting video of my playing in on the roof, so many things can go wrong there.
Oh, maaan!! I so want to do that! Unfortunately, our house is surrounded by trees, so a drone really wouldn’t work. I am planning to cover a song in the next couple of weeks that references rooftops though, so we are going to have to venture onto the flat roof at the back of the house!
