Thanks Jerry
I think you are overthinking this
It’s a song about getting out from being beaten. (In a rather epic and final way, sure.) I don’t think Al was implying more
No, of course not!
I was thinking if there is an equivalent of the expression “wife beating songs” exists in the other languages I know, but could not think of it for Dutch, German nor French.
What about Japanese, @howard ?
not that I know
The Beatles - The Long and Winding Road
I wanted something simple while I was on my last trip, so I chose this version of the song without Phil Spector’s “Wall of Sound” flourishes. I hope you enjoy it.

Boyfriend beater song would most likely be Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats”
Awesome Jerry!
Cheating is no issue!
She is looking for songs like “Do the damn dishes!” or “Don’t buy more stuff!” or “Turn the volume down!” or her favourite “Did you forget [insert about anything here] … AGAIN?!”
You know, the usual
My stingray is finally here
The tone of this instrument…amazing. This is exactly what I want my bass to sound like. I felt it was only appropriate that we begin our 'ray covers with some RATM. Funny enough this is the song through which I discovered Tool, probably around 2005 after wondering who the other vocalist was on this track.
only effects added were a little compression and some overdrive which I cranked in the final verse/outro.
Rage Against The Machine - Know Your Enemy
Thank you TMB!
Great job @JerryP just as Paul would play nicely done!
An oldie but a goodie! Nice job! @ChrisoBass
A really well done @401Blues !
Another great sounding tone on that sound. Love what you did with the stingray @Al1885
Awesome job on this one also @Ant. RATM are one of those bands with fantastic riffs! What pedals if you don’t mind me asking are you using for that sound?
Mayer Hawthorne - Physical Touch
Bringing an Envelope filter to the party on this one! It was hard to dial in to mimic the original sweeps but I think we landed in a nice place. Also felt this worked better on a Jazz over a P so the Flea Bass got some love.
Love that envelop filter! Great job on all your videos! Time to join a band!
Thank you Glenn!
Great job Scott! I’m becoming a Mayer Hawthorne fan from all you covers.
Thank you! I think Rage has some of the best individual riffs, so much fun to play! I’m running the bass through the line 6 pod express, no amp sim, just a slight amount of compression using the LA compressor and some overdrive.
