Nice JerryP! Sounds like a fun song to play (especially those walk ups)! I like how you only have to check on your fretboard fingering once in a while and just trust yourself to make transitions.

That was awesome Dutchman! I really like that song! Great tone.

Great job, dude. That sounded terrifc. Such a smooth song and I thought you nailed the timing. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Feel better!

Thanks you JohnF!

Yeah, I had to micro shift to get to the first note of the walk up so I make sure I’m at the right place.

@JerryP another great cover where you don’t know if it’s original or not!

@Whying_Dutchman good stuff, sits well in there. Hope you recover soon. I had a bad spout earlier this year. Keep hydrated!

Just lost my sense of smelling today, which is quite funny. I kind of envied people with COVID last year that experienced that, as I could not imagine how that would be like. Now I know

So, that’s an interesting experience … but kind of boring too! Happy to regain my sense of smell soon. It’s not as exciting as I thought it would be ^^

I myself almost don’t have this sense at all. Well I have it but, it’s very very bad, like being almost blind but with smells. Not sure if I would really notice a difference with the loss of smell caused by Covid. (but I would notice the difference with taste)

Ugh, just noticed you have covid. Sorry man, that sucks. Had it twice now myself, no fun.

Same here. Mine’s self-inflicted, I was a chemistry major and did a very stupid thing once after wondering how strongly glacial acetic acid really smelled like vinegar. Dumb but funny (though not at the time).

Sorry to hear. Smelling stuff is great - except for my hiking boots after a week in the mountains

Taste is still there, but somehow diminished. Would be quite intersting to not be able to taste anything for a day or two. I already made a shopping list of things to buy at the supermarket - to challenge my taste (including very hot chilies!).
As an experiment it’s great … but I want all my senses back next weekend, please!

Hahaha, yeah! Reminds me of my cooking sulfur experiment when I was a boy and inhaling it - damaging the left side of my lung. It’s the privilege of the young and stupid

PS An outdated COVID test was negative. Will retest tomorrow with a fresh one.

oh no, I never experienced that with Covid.

I had it 3 times I think, but it was quite light to be honest.

like my earing loss and tinitus :smiling_face_with_tear:

Yeah that’s also self inflicted for me

I’ve really been kind of an asshole to myself

That happens with the “no fear” and “live fast, die young” attitude we all share.

Funny that we got old…

Had it twice now also and in both cases I knew I was coming down with it because I couldn’t smell my coffee beans while I was grinding them in the morning.

ETA: My wife, the former RN would give me the Buckley’s test (the Canadians in the house should know this one), where she’d give me a shot of Buckley’s and if I just shrugged, she know I was actually sick.
