Yeah same here, I learned “I Want You Back” a few months ago and would regularly play through it in practice. Once or twice a day tops but eventually the repetition adds up and pays off. It does relax you a lot when a song becomes muscle memory, you can have more fun playing it.

Thank you! My husband scheduled a contractor to put in a new floor in our master bedroom on my birthday which btw. is also our 15th wedding anniversary. He is so in the doghouse. I think I get a nice Marshall amp as birthday present out of that guilt trip and maybe should I ask for an Ibanez accoustic bass as well?? LOL.

Good for you. He forgot our 15th wedding anniversary. We married on my birthday so that he only has to remember one day in the whole damn year. A Marshall amp will get him out of the doghouse …MAYBE still thinking about that Ibanez accoustic bass too lol

I’ve been wanting to learn this song for a while but I had to wait for Halloween to do it since the lyrics are about zombies lol. I ended up buying a new amp sim and it sounds really good! It’s another one the heavier side so prepare your ears

Off topic: Also apparently it’s my anniversary since joining the forum and taking the B2B course. I lurk a lot but I have learned a lot from everybody here and everyone is really encouraging. Hopefully in year 2 I can learn how to slap and learn more intricate songs to share. Virtual Insanity is a song I’d love to learn but I still have a ways off before I get to that point

It’s been a really long time since I’ve had time to go through all the songs here, but today I finally got to update the YouTube playlist. Amazing job everyone! I think I’m subscribed to almost all of you on YouTube, but let me know if I’ve missed anyone.
It seems like most people are focusing on songs outside of the 50 Songs Challenge, which is great, but it’s a bit of a shame because there’s a lot to learn from that list, especially for the new ones.
@John_E has made an absolutely incredible comeback here, commenting on all. I can’t quite match that. If I had to highlight something, it would be @saroohoo’s hand positions and light touch. It seems like her technique there has improved a lot.
