Very nice Ed!
Great job, I did a cover of this awhile back. Awesome song to play
Awesome @BeerBaron this is a great covers and you did it right with the bass face and everything.
My only suggestion is if you play then a tad shorter it would get funkier.
Oh yeah - I’ve never really check out Trypticon but I may give them a spin tonight …
Tötally justified use of the röck döts btw

Thanks @JerryP ! It really is a jack of all trades this bass!
Oh thanks
! I remember being totally blown away by Crypts back in the day . I think it felt like putting my head in a jet engine …
This is true! It’s just 90% attitude. I can’t imagine playing a whole set of this live through - I just don’t have the energy ![]()
Thanking you ![]()
That was great! keep it up
@BeerBaron very nicely done, that’s a great first cover!
@TheMadBassist great job on that PF song, love the tone you got going!
Shorter note length? Like… kinda sorta more staccato-ish?
Thanks! Already hooked. I let myself splurge on that Ibanez when I knew this wasn’t going to be a passing fad. The color drew me, but it sounds and plays wonderfully and it is very light.
Thanks brother!
Althea - Grateful Dead
Back in March I committed to learning to play with a pick. This is my 1st cover using a pick. I also just acquired a Origins Effect BASSRIG ’64 Black Panel it’s vintage bass amp in a pedal based on Fender®’s Showman® and Bassman® amplifiers. Here were my settings and here’s the tune!
Well done on your first cover post @BeerBaron, great playing!
Great playing as ever, @TheMadBassist. Lots of space in that song!
Learning different styles - finger / pick / slap - can be frustrating, but also great fun… well done on this cover, @401Blues !
Good stuff there, mate. Picks were never my thing, until I picked up a thinner one than previous, I love picks almost as much as fingerstyle now. Great cover!
Having run away from the B2B slap module - I still haven’t done it - this is my first go at slap. Granted, I’m playing the whole line on the E string, apart from the octave pops, rather than playing across strings, but I think it sounds ok.
I need to do more practice and I might even go back to that slap module ![]()
INXS - Mystify
Trigger warning for the purists, this is an interpretation of the original baseline, not a facsimile
After all, I am playing with my thumb and just letting the groove take me ![]()
Diving in to the realm of slap! Nicely done SD, wish you had mixed yourself a bit louder, though.
Awesome cover BeerBaron! Very well done!
Nicely done TMB! Enjoyed it.
Great job 40Blues! I haven’t heard this in a long time. Nice.
