That you, @totyasrac! All
I had to remember was to go to the F, twice
Thanks, @fennario! It’s great fun trying to get them “right” tone from a different bass!

Nicely done! A fave tune of mine… one of these days I’ll get to learning it!
Nice Warwick too!
Sometimes I’ll just leave it recording and keep playing until I get it right. At least then if I happen to get a good one in I’ve already got it in the bag!
This has a good bass line, and would be fun to learn. You played it well too
Great job brother!
Thank you very much!!!
This was fab @sunDOG, it is a great rhythm and you nailed it, got me properly head nodding on the train I love that tone too.
Great job again Duncan!
OK, nothing new here - only that my friend asked me to buy him the Höfner Shorty (details in GAS topic) and it sounds like this without any effect but “FET boost” without any pre/amp, cabsim, EQ or anything, so basically this is the sound of the instrument (never had a short scale in my hands before) with factory (shitty/sticky) strings, it would kick some serious b.tt with flats for sure - it’s Miley Cyrus - Flowers:
please write clearly the Artist and Song Name when you release a cover (in this order : Artist - Song Name and without fancy characters). please please.
I promise it’s the very last time I say that.
Hi terb - sorry, will pay more attention, I hope the correction I did above is OK (wouldn’t remove / rename / reupload if not absolutely necessary).
that’s fine, thanks !
Excellent work! In those moments where I’m just kinda standing around fiddling I’ll do the pattern that’s the meat of this one. I’m not good enough yet to tackle the rest of the song. Actually, I fiddle around with a few Jane’s songs. I’ll do the beginning of Ted, Just Admit It and Summertime Rolls also (that one’s great for working on finger stretching).
Great job Paul!
Thank you!
the other parts are not bad: A 5 7 7 7 5 7 7 7 5 7 7 7 5 7 D 5 A 7 5 let the 5 ring then you strum D5 and G7 a few times then strum A5 and D7 a few times. according to my ear anyway. The hard part it repeating the main part for four minutes.
Thanks Jerry!
Thank you, @saroohoo! Much appreciated!!
Much appreciated, Travis!!
U2 - With or Without You
With all this talk about Adam Clayton on the forum over the last few days, I felt compelled to properly record the first song I ever fully played through on the bass as part of the Bass Buzz course.
This is a very easy line to play, but actually quite hard to get every 8th note just so! Forgive me in that I didn’t fully replicate the original. I put in an approach note immediately before each chord change, and in doing so, didn’t play that small slide between the G and the D.
Hohner Professional B Bass into an Ampero, then on into GarageBand.
Once again, loving the tone I can get out of the Hohner!
I thought you added that! I think it stops the yoyo feel of the original.
Is that good or bad
