Dave does hit pretty hard! I was wearing ear plugs and always wear them at rehearsals. I even wear them at every concert I attend.
Nice work gentlemen!
The Cult - Wild Flower
I found this one hard, the tempo wanders, and I’m not 100% happy with my playing…
Crazy 'bout you, yeah
Crazy 'bout you, girl
Crazy 'bout you, yeah
Crazy 'bout
Crazy 'bout you, yeah
Dingwall Combustion into the Ampero, then on into GarageBand
I haven’t listened yet @sunDOG but I know this is going to be good
Full confession - years ago before I had a tuner, I used to tune my faithful Aria Pro 2 Magna to this number (and Sanctuary). Good times good times…
Love me some cult Used to do this one back in the day with the band
… and ya… it seems easy enough… but if anyone falls out of time… you pick it out quickly… fun tune tho!
Great job
The tone is crazy good. your playing is good just a slight dragging. Playing this song with +10% tempo will wake you right up and puts all of the piece together like Lego.
Well played, you all look like you are having fun
Are you in the southern hemisphere? I was very distracted by the blue sky and you all wearing t shirts!
I do enjoy a bit of The Cult. Great song, expertly played
Just Southern California haha. There have been some warm days lately and I tend to run hot when I play!
Well done Duncan!
Ha!! Excellent!
Tell me about it! I’m usually fine with chuggin’, but for some reason, I found this song really difficult!
Exactly, It’s that transition from the main riff to the chug that kills me…more practice, as you say!
Yep, The Cult rock. I saw them live once, wow, they were good!
Thanks, Jerry!
Yeah it’s like bike racing. You can train all you want but it’s very difficult to put yourself in the redline intentionally, the race put you there in seconds at start of the race that why it’s so addictive regardless of how you finish.
Speed up the song put your muscles awareness to 11 and when you back down to 8 it’s just a piece of cake.
Oh I had my lighter out for the one
A fine cover of a fine song . It makes me realise how much I’ve neglected my Alice Cooper collection…
Who needs Spotify when there is a thread like this? People playin my fave tunes all the time in here!
Love Alice Cooper!! And damn fine playing!!
Great job Justin! I haven’t heard that in a long time!
Thanks man. I’ve been meaning to do this one for a while and kept forgetting about it. I was watching some old Alice interviews and that reminded me!
I appreciate that John! I’ve always dug Alice too.
Thanks Jerry. I’ve been revisiting some old Alice albums lately.
This quick story is exactly what happened…
Only women bleed was the final song of the night.
There was a large toybox on stage on wheels approx. 12 ft x 5 ft wide by 7ft high, Alice jumped up on the side of the box and pulled himself up on the box, as he did this the box began to fall towards him, he sort of threw himself backwards while falling onto his feet with backwards momentum. Contrary to some reports he did not fall on the stage. Wildly trying to catch his balance while very quickly with little to no control stumbled backwards and fell from the stage through the security and hit his head on the security barrier.
The security guard, Mr. Carl Fuller broke Alice’s fall but could not stop him from hitting his head.
The show was suspended for around 15 minutes, during the pause a roady came on stage with one armless standard wooden chair and a microphone which he placed on the chair he had put down in the middle of the stage.
Moments later Alice walked out with a white bandana wrapped around his head that was clearly cut from what appeared to be something like linen. The headband, bandana tied in a knot on the left side of his head hung down slightly past his shoulder.
Alice then sang, Only women bleed, Within 1 minute of the song the once white head wrap began showing blood soaking through, before the song ended the the wrap was soaked heavy with blood, seemingly very much. It was a sight to see the head wrap become saturated so quickly along with the irony of the song he was doing.
The concert ended immediately after the song and Alice was rushed to the hospital.
ps. Suzi Quattro was the opening act.
