What a great game! That and the Simpsons were peak arcade times
We cover all lips are sealed (original). I really like how you play it. I’ve mixed my version with a few YouTube tabs I found but there are some parts in yours that I like more.
That one was a serious finger twister for me when I first started playing it and I still have to pay attention that chorus seems to sneak in when you don’t expect it.
The funny thing about this song is that both versions are the original
Terry Hall (the singer of FB3) co-wrote it with Jane Wiedlin (the guitarist of the Go-Go’s).
Kind of like how the Generation X version of “Dancing With Myself” is 100% better but is still Billy Idol, so not a cover, just like his solo version was not really a cover.
Just a bummer he didn’t bring GenX along with him to fame.
Thank you John
There is a cool video of Billy and Steve Stevens performing this on top of the Empire State building, last year I think? Great song anyway. It’s on my extensive list of songs to cover! So it’ll probably never happen lol
Buck Rogers - Feeder
Another great 90’s Indie band. This is probably their most well known tune? This or ‘Just a Day’. Anyway, a fun one to cover.
Picture it: Summer of 1991. Metallica is prepping their 5th studio album, not knowing they are about to explode from well-known metal band to the biggest metal band in the universe.
Picture it: May of 2025. Vader is about to post a cover video of the song that catapulted Metallica to the musical stratosphere. The ensuing superstardom part that Metallica had will not happen here.
Great job, Andrea! Fun tune! As I wrote on your YT channel, I have never heard Feeder, so I wonder if I just missed them or they didn’t get play time over here in the States.
Dude…you have improved a lot from your first couple covers. This is the best part of the “Post your covers!” thread…seeing people improve right before your eyes. Your practice is paying off…keep it up, man!
Cool Dude!! Great cover with a greater back story!! Rock On!!
Keep on Thumpin’!

Emmylou Harris - The Price You Pay
From the 1981 album Cimarron. Written and originally performed by Bruce Springsteen from the 1980 album The River.
Cool!! Left my comment on your YouTube page….
Great job Vader. I’m not much into Metallica, but I do like this song, and it brings back happy memories of the Rock pub I worked in.
@JohnF That’s a lovely, and chilled tune. Well played.
Feeder toured the US in 1998 for the first time. They did gain a following over there, but as to how much airplay they got, I couldn’t tell you.
Well lucky you then. I have like 7 or 8 other of their songs I’m working on…
So many covers, I haven’t had a chance to check them out recently!
I really like this tune, i can never decide which version i like best. Sounds great, nice bouncy bassline
@Vader Very nice job on Enter Sandman! Maybe superstardom awaits. Metallica basslines are always so good (and often - to me- very tricky)
The Go Go’s version of Our Lips is fantastic
I love chucking in slides
As indeed, do I
Yep, it took a while to get on top of this one… I’m trying to persuade the band to do it, but no luck so far
It’s a fantastic bass line, such fun to play!!
fantastical. well done man
Jimmy Eat World - The Middle
Suggested by our new vocalist as a song we might like to consider. Super-easy to play . Oh, this is also played on my £40 Squier Affinity P. I doubled the track (played twice), panning left and right. For £40, I think is sounds pretty good!
Squier Affinity into GarageBand, via the Hotone Ampero.
Good song choice, its an upbeat song, and fun to play. Also good to know someone else has heard of it!
