Same here bro, always loved Nazareth! Thanks for the great comment! Ah man I’ve never seen them live, that would be dope!! Do a cover of it too, would love to see it dude. Me and Duncan have several of the same ones haha
Great job brother, some fancy finger work ya got going on there! Nice Ric too!
Left you a comment on YT, great job dude!
Tone is da bomb bro. Great cover
Oh that was sweet, John! Very nicely done!
lol, great story Ed, and an enjoyable cover too
Well played Duncan, it sounded like your triple tracked came out well.
As I said on YT, I’m enjoying these country covers, you might make a convert out of me one day
Thanks @JohnF @TheMadBassist @AndreaJayne !
Yeah this one took some grinding but there comes a point where you have 90% and just have to say that’s enough. I think I breathed about three times during the song - shame you can’t see the veins on my forehead lol .
Oh yeah I love good headstocks. Ricks and Tbirds are nice, Warwicks too. Not so keen on the old style Fenders.
Yea brother I hear you, there are songs that I cover that make you tense up, or sometimes even “draw up” if you will………I call those “pucker” songs, if you get my drift haha for sure though, great job!
The Invertants - Zombie Cover (The Cranberries)
This was from yesterday afternoon. A ‘full cover’ of The Cranberries song, Zombie.
Band sounded great, Duncan! That is such a wonderful experience for you. You and the drummer and guitarist play really well together. I think that particular song is extremely difficult for a vocalist to tackle as Dolores O’ Riordan could shift her tone with crazy control. That was fun to watch and I think the dancing girl during the solo agrees with me!
Thank you @TheMadBassist @JerryP @AndreaJayne
I appreciate you listening to it!
All part of my master plan…
Awesome job Johnny! Blinding fast fingers on this. And I see you with the recoil strap. I have the exact same one
Awesome job, Johnny! Fretting hand and plucking hands are flying on that one!
Dwight Yoakam - I’ll Just Take These
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
This one is from the 1998 album A Long Way Home. I have been working on a different Dwight Yoakam song all week that is much “faster”, but my hands and forearms are shot from painting my house and fence for three days, so I’ve taken a detour with a slower tune…one that has been stuck in my head for a long time.
Great cover bro. Happy Father’s Day to you (I’m assuming you have kids)
Wow, looks even harder watching your fingers flying Great job!
Great job on this @Johnnyb !
