So the new restaurant build is coming along very well, I’m almost done - just need to build a few more tables. I’ll share some pictures once it’s ready to open, just another week or two to go!
In the meantime I’ve been learning this track which has such a killer bass line. I stand firm in my belief that Rob DeLeo is the most criminally underrated bassist, especially in rock. I love the way his lines fit with the rest of the music, really unique stuff happening in a lot of STP songs - I especially dig the chorus melody but it sort of gets drowned out as the band really kicks in.
I struggled a bit with the mix and haven’t listened to it other than in my headphones. I’m afraid it’s a bit quiet so I’d appreciate some feedback on the mix!

Not really a band I know. This sounded great, @Ant! Regarding the mix, in the chorus, yes, it’s a bit quiet, but in the more mellow verses, it works well.
Can’t beat a bit of Billy, @AndreaJayne! This song, and Billy of this era, evokes some great teenage summer romance memories for me

Sounded great, Ant! I’ve heard that song a million times back in the day and never paid attention to the bass line…yeah, that is an interesting one. I like it especially when the song quiets down after the chorus. Well played! Good luck with the restaurant!
