Well, I didn’t tell anyone
1788 miles driven through England, France and Italy, 22 miles on the Eurotunnel, and 82 miles from Italy to Albania on the ferry! we arrived home at around 8am Saturday. We’ve done well getting unpacked, and I have all the important stuff set up
Thank you John, or as they say in Albania.. falaminderit!
Also quite funny that today it is England Vs Albania in football (soccer). Not that i care much for that kind of thing
That was a more modern pic of them…this is the cover of their self-titled debut album from ‘91 (which features the song Norma Jean Riley) and you’ll see it is a mullet-fest.
I didn’t know this band. Nice song, and well played!
Very nice! Cool choice!
Nice cover! And great job doing the bass tracks. So many songs nowadays have the bass entirely done with keyboard, which is a pity. This was very well played, and your punk loving cousin who likes Taylor Swift would probably be pleased.
Very nice!
This was very nice! I can’t remember when I last heard it. It was possible in a TV series. Well played!
Well played!
I added Peacemaker to my list. Dexter was awesome! I watched it twice.
Thanks, Ron! Yeah, that Diamond Rio album cover is peak 80’s/early 90’s country right there. That was a fun song to play with all of those starts and stops.
That’s crazy! I literally had “Come On Feel the Lemonheads” on repeat for a couple hours in my basement this weekend and decided to do this on a whim because it seemed like the perfect song for the day. Something in the air man.
Thanks brother! Bahahahaha oh the tree is coming! Should be up by next weekend. I always try to get it going right after thanksgiving, and of course let it stay up well into January haha . Great job on your Lemonheads cover too, don’t recall hearing that song before. Cool tune!
I actually think you get better results by duplicating (by literally duplicating the track) the original bassline and then leaning in to the phase effects by either slightly detuning one or adding a very small amount pf phase delay to one, then panning those left/right. Basically a slightly boosted Haas effect.
This is an easy way to make the bass sound bigger but needs care if you go too much it definitely sounds phased. We’re talking very small differences are enough.
It’s also usually good to then put the bass tracks on a bus and then do some filtering or EQ to trim the low end because multiple bass tracks are going to make the whole mix muddy very fast.
IMO this will yield better results than playing the bassline multiple times (despite that being the more popular method)
