@JustinAndSheba I mis-read your post and for a second thought you were going to cover this classic 90s UK pop song by Chesney Hawkes Probably for the best you didn’t. Really nice playing
@faydout that sounded great and brings back memories, not listened to that Blur song in ages (I was definitely a Blur fangirl back in the day). I hate it when recordings turn into a total mission.
@g13dip I love this! I wish I could play as well as you with a low slung bass, my playing turns to s**t when I try.
Slowly inching towards drop tuning my Dingwall but before I’m ready, I need to get a good and proper distorted bass tone. I learned this to test it out. It doesn’t sound… terrible but the tone needs a lot of work before I feel confident I can make a Periphery or Northlane song sound good lol. I think this is where I’m gonna have to step back and level up to learn more about Reaper and DAW EQs in general.
Another interesting and well played cover, I like the sound of Thornhill.
It’s a whole new rabbit hole when it comes to messing about in DAWs. I’m not going there, I get a sound coming out of the amp/DI that I’m happy with and that get recorded and used as is.
Thank you and me too. Right up until OK Computer came out, then I was whatever that was. I’ve never really considered anything that Radiohead did after the Bends to be Britpop.
Thanks Lanny. I honestly didn’t realize how complex this bass line was until I isolated it from the mix with Moises. A lot trickier than I anticipated!
It’s mostly Winter boredom… and learnin tunes kills time. ( I only work when it snows in the Winter… ) Apr - Oct … you won’t see much of me. ( 10 - 13 hr days ) LOL
