Oooooh…great song! Well played! Your guitar strap looks cool in that b&w glowing purple with a touch of purple on your bass. Like Frank Miller directed your video.
Thanks, Lanny! I wanted to splice in some kind of noir bar scenes and thought those fit in with the song to tell a mini story between the lyrics and those few clips.
I think you’ll like the song I’m currently working on…
Alright, dear BassBuzz Family,
I moved to another flat and have been busy building up a little film studio to make professional bass covers again (and electric guitar covers, too, which will be coming soon on the guitar topic ). Meanwhile, here’s some progress on slapping the hell out of
TheFatRat (feat. Laura Brehm): The Calling
Wish y’all the Bass.
PS: I muted the open E string with my left thumb. It’s unconventional, but it works nicely when playing octaves on the E-String.
That was awesome! I like how the song ends with those lighter bass tones after all that slappin’ & poppin’. Looked like you had a lot of fun playing that song. Very cool tune.
I tried yesterday but no luck, so resigned myself to listening to the alternate. Great bass playing, but it was definitely missing both Peter and Greenie. So tried again today on a lark, and lo and behold it works!
EXCELLENT work on this! One of my absolute favorite blues. I remember when naïve me first discovered that Fleetwood Mac started out as a very different band than I grew up listening to in the Lindsey/Stevie era. Blew my mind!
Anyway, FANTASTIC song, and you freaking NAILED it. Love it! So cool!
The Peter Green era of Fleetwood Mac was my favorite. The 3 CD set of the Live at The Boston Tea Party shows was a Day 1 purchase for me. I snagged the soft cover sleeves instead of the plastic cases, but these are the CDs.
I agree that the non original does indeed lack the soul of the original. Strange thing is, the original doesn’t even show up on my list of videos, but when it appeared on the card at the end, i was able to click on it and play it. Bizarre YouTube shenanigans
A friend of mine many years ago pointed me in the direction of Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac, and i was blown away by how good it was. I never took to the 80’s version of the band.
I really should buy a few albums!
Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate it
Man @Paul_9207 , that was f-----g awesome! Disintegration was my intro to the Cure and I’ve loved this one for a long time. You nailed it man! Providing some serious inspiration here, love the full covers!
