Thank you sir! I’m definitely still working on the “mixing” aspect in Logic; for now, “Good enough” is good enough for me
Oh excellent work @dlamson13 ! Beautiful tone. And that is a fine set you have there with the lighting and the background.
PS If you’re a Chigago fan then no shame in it
I love how musical the bass is in this song compared to the harshness of all the other instruments and vocals. And you did a great job playing it too!
Pushit by Tool
This was my first time experimenting with automation and mastering in Logic. Made me feel a little too big for my britches, and probably not the wisest move picking a nearly-10-minute Tool song as one of my first ventures into the world of audio/video recording, but
Screwed up a little bit on the breakdown after the second chorus but overally mostly happy with this one.
GREAT JOB dlamson13! Flawless.
Great job mate, sounds good and being able to do any 10 minute song by memory is worthy.
How about posting a close up of your bass…
I’m wondering about the nut size and neck cut?
Thanks @Paul_9207 . I think that was one of the things that attracted me to the song
That was super smooth, Dan! Really great playing and you’re getting a really nice tone out of your bass. Awesome job!
That rocked, Ed! It was time to roll up the sleeves and take care of business!
First challenge song of the year. I’ve been working on this one for a couple weeks. Personally this was about as hard as Cult of Personality but this is the level I’ve really been striving for. Now it’s all about staying consistent. Even when I didn’t play an instrument, I wanted to learn songs like this because they sounded so cool and technical. Now all the songs I wish I could play don’t seem so impossible (still really hard though). This was INCREDIBLY fun to learn and to play. This is why I was asking about bass pedals and stuff earlier lol. The tone sounds ok… but it needs something more. Nonetheless I’m happy how Drop F# sounds
I’m ready to start my Djent Era

Thornhill - Reptile
Excellent! Tone was fantastic.
Flippin’ eck @BumbleJazz those low notes! I really want to hear this on a huge sound system so my teeth rattle. So good
Thanks @saroohoo ! This was the first time using my low B string in a drop tuning. I can only imagine what it would sound like on a speaker because I was already getting shaken by it just hitting the string hard
Anytime my friend!
Thanks Ed! I love the neck pickup on this Squier, it is very warm. As for my set, I took a page out of the @TheMadBassist playbook and kept the Christmas lights up a little longer, sometimes when you got a good thing going you don’t wanna change it
Thanks @gottaplay!
Thanks John!
my bunker walls were shaking on this one, awesome job @BumbleJazz!
Great job, that’s one serious hair metal deep cut, totally forgot about these guys!
