And now, time for something completely different…
This was a lot of fun to work on, not sure I got the groove as well as I’d hoped but this really is outside my comfort zone. I did it on my G&L Kiloton (last bass I’ve got with flats) and got to dust off the mute I’ve had in a drawer for almost a year now. Besides compression, I’m running 2 reverbs and on the solo I kicked on an octave pedal (turned waaaay down). The interesting thing about this song is that it’s in Eb but tuned at 432hz.

I intended this to be more involved. I’d recorded the bass last weekend, used the green screen as option 2 of merging video with the intent of recording the synth parts and overlaying the bass player. Anyway, minor eye operation happened Tuesday, and I really haven’t been able to learn the background synth tracks.
So what we have here is the half-assed version with a dinky synth solo recorded today! Maybe one day I’ll get the synth nailed and re record it. Or not 
Bass has some compression and an octave pedal to add some meat to the bones.

Thank you so much John! I love all kinds of music and don’t want to box myself into a certain genre. I try to shake things up and do a variety. It makes a bassist a better player anyway. You can always learn something from any song!

Hi everyone, and I apologize for not being particularly active these past few months. Everything’s fine, just a lot going on at work, and I’m playing in two bands, a party cover band @Samspelt, and we’re also having a reunion with my old band Mecalimb from 20 years ago. We’re playing two small metal festivals, the first of which is this coming Saturday, so I’ve been a bit overwhelmed. 
I’ve been keeping up, and there’s been so much great stuff posted here, fantastic work by everyone. @TheMadBassist is nearing 200 cover videos, with @sunDOG hot on their heels. It’s incredible, and all the others here who can really be considered professional bassists, it’s so much fun to follow you all. A little unsure if this qualifies as a cover, but considering only two of the songs were written while I was still in the band, I’m going with it. The last one is definitely a cover. I’ll try to be a bit more active going forward, but again, fantastic job everyone. Have a great weekend!

I can’t remember if I posted this one already, but I decided to re-record it for my YT with tabs. I had some trouble syncing my audio/video/tab playback which was pretty frustrating but I got it all within a few fractions of a second, so, close enough!
